In this session, Calum Inverarity, Senior Researcher at the Open Data Institute, covers how these technologies might be used to improve systems and processes in the public sector, as well as some of the measures we need to have in place to minimise the potential for their misuse. (Download slides) 45:45: Cybercrime Resilience – Police Cyber Alarm and Cyber Resilience Centres - Martin Peters, Detective Superintendent at City of London Police and Deputy Lead for the National Cybercrime Programme for the National Police Chiefs' Council: An overview of the Police Cyber Alarm which provides policing with a more comprehensive picture of the cyber threat landscape, informs cyber defence strategy and collects evidence that can be used in the identification, pursuit and prosecution of cyber criminals. His session also covers the cyber resilience centres - a regional network promoting the importance of cyber resilience across the business and third sector communities.
