The National Association of Local Councils (NALC) is preparing to use an app to help it manage the administration of the Local Council Award Scheme (LCAS).
It said the app has been developed using tools on Microsoft Office 365 by the Cloudy Foundation Enterprise Academy, an online hub for students to work on digital projects for businesses and local authorities.
NALC’s partner, local government tech specialist Cloudy IT, is now finalising the app for use. It will replace several of the association’s forms and spreadsheets and automate parts of the LCAS administration.
The LCAS provides a framework to support parish and town councils by meeting standards set by the sector and having their performance assessed by peers with the provision of plans for improvement.
