The Home Office has agreed on a three-year, £30 million contract with Phoenix Software for public cloud hosting services.

It has published the contract award notice shortly after the one for another public cloud deal with AWS, indicating its increasing commitment to the use of public cloud infrastructure.

The notice for Phoenix Software indicates that it will provide services based on the Microsoft Azure platform. It involves three lots, for hosting, software and support.

The company’s website indicates that its public sector customer base is currently in local government, the NHS, further and higher education and housing.

Like the AWS deal, the contract has been awarded through the G-Cloud 13 procurement framework.
