The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has appointed Kainos Software, NTT Data and i10 as digital delivery partners under a call-off arrangement expected to be worth between £25 million and £50 million.
This comes in response to its desire to create a small panel of suppliers to support a series of work programmes working on a rapid response to achieve statements work.
According to the contract award notice, it began in December to run for two and a half years with options to extend for four more and the commercial approach to be reviewed over the first 12 months.
It will involve support for projects running between six weeks and six months, working on agile methodology and with an initial focus on discoveries, user interface and user experience.
Key techs
The notice also indicates that the key technologies used at the CPS are AWS, Azure, .Net Core, C#, JavaScript and SQL.
This is the second significant deal of recent months for the organisation: in October of last year it contracted IT services company DXC to run and transform its IT infrastructure.
Its current strategy document emphasises the importance of building its digital capability to improve the way it provides justice.
