UKA Live: Why are organisations still on Windows 10?
Thursday 22 May
11:00 - 12:00 via Teams Town Hall

Imminent ‘end of life’ for the old operating system adds urgency for migration to AI-ready Windows 11
With just over 100 working days – and the summer holidays - to go until free security updates, support and bug fixes for Windows 10 end will you have migrated all your users to Windows 11 in time?
Without regular updates public sector organisations running on the soon to be obsolete platform will either need to pay for costly (and rapidly escalating) support or face the risks of increasing cyber vulnerabilities, downtime, plus potential compliance and integration issues.
But what does migration involve? How long does it take? And do the benefits outweigh the costs when it comes to tackling technical debt (currently taking up 50% of budgets - just to keep the lights on), modernising work, underpinning digital transformation, enabling automation and powering AI?
The deadline appears immoveable, and with millions of UK devices not ready for Windows 11, supply constraints are imminent. It is imperative organisations act now to avoid shortages and secure the best options.
As the public sector’s budgetary struggles continue to escalate and many face reorganisations in the next few years we will explore how the business case for migration as a foundation stone for AI and transformation stacks up.
Join us on 22 May when our expert panel will explore the drivers, the benefits, the RoI and the practicalities of moving to Windows 11 before Windows 10 runs out of road.
