How do we take a human approach to integrating and sharing data focused on the needs of the people we serve across the health and public sector?
What do we need to change or put in place to enable this? What are the common elements and standards needed to underpin effective data integration around people? Should we be embedding these elements into public sector procurement?
Key to effectively using data to improve services around people's needs will be a common culture and approach across all parts of the public sector. When it comes to vulnerable people how do we make sure no one slips through the gaps, that vulnerabilities are identified and addressed as needs arise?
The new Data Protection and Digital Information Bill currently wending its way through parliament will bring a new focus on supporting the vulnerable. Is this an opportunity to drive a human approach to data sharing in the public sector?
