UKA Live: Smart places, smart working

Is Covid-19 driving digital transformation?

UKA Live Webcast running for 1 hr (11:00 to 12:00) on 19th June 2020

Digital transformation is a journey, not a destination, but the COVID lockdown has accelerated the pace and new horizons are coming into view.

Overnight the public sector has had to adapt and embrace digital in order to keep the organisation’s wheels turning - drive staff engagement, ensure service delivery, protect the vulnerable and keep their communities engaged. Behavioural change just got a turbo charge, albeit in the most challenging of circumstances.

What does this mean for the management of infrastructure and assets across the public sector estate? How has enforced home working changed the way we manage and monitor today and what impact will this have on the smart places of tomorrow?

UKAuthority has invited the Confirm team (from Precisely) and leading public authorities to the UKA Live studio to gain insight into the impact that COVID-19 has had in advancing digital transformation initiatives today and what this means for the future.

On the panel:

  • Nicola Casburn, Asset Management Commissioner, Lincolnshire County Council
  • Sean Gilchrist, Transport Manager (Asset and Performance), The City of Edinburgh Council
  • Andrew Waterworth, Director EMEA - Confirm, Precisely
