UKA Live: Data-first modernisation
Wednesday 12 July
Time: 11:00 - 12:00 via Teams Live
Is it time to pivot from cloud-first to data-first transformation?
During the pandemic data lay at the core of the country’s response, highlighting the urgent need for accuracy, agility and accessibility in driving insight and action from the information held across the health and public sector.
But the response also demonstrated that, despite a decade of cloud-first and digital transformation, data still lies in silos; and that data maturity differs widely between organisations.
However, new opportunities in the use of data are emerging with machine learning, AI and edge computing – which can uncover insights where data is created – all of which can enable data-driven decision-making and service delivery.
Is it time then to put data at the heart of service design? To take this opportunity to promote openness and collaboration while ensuring citizen trust, achieving best value and aligning with sustainability goals in the face of exponential data growth?
