Alice heads up the Government’s digitising social care programme which supports care providers to make best use of technology.

Digital Infrastructure Architect: Operational change and digital technology infrastructure architect, experienced in dark fibre, small cells, critical systems infrastructure, mast densification, wayleaves and legal paperwork, HOTs, SaaS, IoT, cloud hosting, RPA, AI, data and trend Analysis, 365 Dynamics MS Azure through to end-user UX experience. Core areas include housing, communities, smart Cities, infrastructure investment and regeneration portfolio building.

Clare Steward, Digitising Social Care Programme Director, Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes Integrated Care System
Clare works across ICS health and care system, leading and developing the social care digitalisation agenda ensuring that the care market is in the strongest position it can be to draw upon the use of digital technology. She has a clinical background and drives hard to ensure that resident at the forefront of everything the programme undertakes and delivers. Having worked at an executive level for over 20 years, Clare has held many operational and strategic leadership positions within the health and care arena. She has also led many complex and political system wide transformational programmes, and more latterly overseen the production and delivery of the BLMK ICS wide population health management, data and digital strategies along with the introduction of digital technologies and informatics within the social care arena. Of late Clare, has also been leading on the introduction of the ICS strategic data platform. As a consequence of Clare’s leadership BLMK ICS is recognised nationally as one of the leading systems in relation to the delivering social care digitalisation. Clare was responsible for the implementation of the early adoption of predictive analytics, supporting independent living and reducing avoidable presentations in the acute hospitals. 

Daniel Taylor, Think Family Programme Manager, Birmingham Children's Trust

Helena Zaum, Business Development Director, Sentinel Partners
Helena believes that data and digital more generally hold the key to transforming health and care services for both adults and for children.  Multi-agency data holds the key to prevention and early intervention to support a holistic approach to wellbeing for individuals and families, and in combination with digital technologies which improve access, is critical to deliver services which are tailored to the needs of people who draw on care and support. Currently Business Development Director at Sentinel Partners, she has worked in the field of digital transformation in the public sector for over 20 years, across multi-national technology providers and consultancy.  She is also chair of the techUK social care working group and an independent advisor to Stonewater Housing.

Jonathan Cameron, Deputy Director for Digital Health and Care Scottish Government
Jonathan has overall responsibility for the Digital Health and Care Strategy and has a key focus on data, innovation and scale up of new systems that support health and care in Scotland. Critical programmes of responsibility currently include Digital Front Door, Digital Diagnostics and Telecare. Prior to joining Scottish Government, in November 2019, he held a number of NHS Scotland IT and data roles. Jonathan has delivered several complex eHealth and digital project and programmes, including the Key Information Summary (KIS) system

   

Kerren Friend, Senior Programme Manager, Digitising Social Care
Kerren has a health and social care technology background with over 12 years of experience across the public and private sectors. For the past three years, Kerren has worked within the Digitising Social Care team in NHS England, which provides funding to social care providers through the ‘Adult Social Care Digital Transformation Fund’. The fund aims to support the adoption of digital technologies with a focus on digital social care records.

Nathan Downing, Director of Consultancy, TEC Services Association
Nathan has extensive transformation experience across a number of industries and sectors, with a focus on social care, health and housing for the past 15+ years; leading on membership and consultancy activity across TSA, Nathan and the associate team support organisations to develop and deliver effective, outcomes driven TEC services, ranging from technical queries relating to the analogue to digital shift or understanding the commissioning landscape through to service redesign, implementing new enabling solutions across different cohorts and measuring impact.

Patricia Coker, Senior Responsible Officer for the Digitising Social Care Programme, Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes Integrated Care System
As Head of Service for Integration of Health and Adult Social Care, Patricia provides strategic leadership and supports systemwide transformation and delivery of services.  She is also responsible for strategic workforce development for an independent adult social care workforce. With 17 years experience in local government, Patricia’s formative years was in public health, and has experience in evidence-led commissioning, health care evaluation and population health management.  Patricia is passionate about developing new models of care, multidisciplinary working and exploring opportunities presented by timely and secure access to information and the use of technology to enhance people’s quality of life.  As Senior Responsible Officer for Digitising Social Care, she works collaboratively, building consensus and high-level support across BLMK Integrated Health and Care Partnership to secure improved outcomes for the local population.

Paul Martin, Healthcare Executive, Cognizant UK
Paul is a software developer and architecture specialist at heart with over 25 years of experience within healthcare IT. In his current role within Cognizant, he supports their Healthcare expansion and growth plans by securing new business, managing clients’ development and nurturing successful partnership opportunities in the UK. His experience comes from working with companies such as Allscripts, Hospedia Inc., Dell and GE/IDX where he led their international expansion across new markets for all lines of business including healthcare and life sciences, working collaboratively with the local delivery teams to drive growth. Originally from Boston, Paul lives in London and over the past 19 years has spent most of his time working in Europe, the Middle East, and India to secure new customers and to lead the development of successful partnerships for the regions.
