00:17:10: South Cambridgeshire District Council AI Journey: Sonia Constant, Senior Project Manager, South Cambridgeshire District Council
South Cambridgeshire's AI journey involves using artificial intelligence to enhance customer service and operational efficiency. Over six months, we analysed data and evaluated potential solutions, leading to a contract with a great supplier, whose cost-effective, scalable, and integrative approach better suited our needs compared to alternatives. The initiative is designed to improve self-service options, reduce manual processing, and integrate AI with existing systems while ensuring data security. The phased rollout includes deploying chat and voice AI assistants to address general enquiries and localised information requests, with a target of reducing 25% of calls by December 2025.
