Wiltshire Police is to provide its frontline officers with Motorola Solution’s Pronto app.

The deployment will apply to more than 2,000 officers and staff as part of the force’s Police and Crime Plan 2022-25.

The app will enable officers to capture details of incidents and share reports securely with back office systems. Data and images are auto-populated into relevant fields across multiple policing applications and forms.

Motorola said this will eliminate duplication, improve data consistency and ensure compliance with criminal justice requirements.

Its country manager UK and Ireland Fergus Mayne said that Pronto now has more than 66,000 users in Great Britain, and added: “The modernisation of work processes has allowed the country's police forces to cut down on administrative and travel times, saving an average of two hours per officer per shift allowing police officers to spend more time in their communities.”
