UKauthority's first UKA Live virtual conference, Powering Digital Public Services, will include a focus on how the public sector is harnessing digital in responding to the coronavirus pandemic

Since lockdown last month and the inevitable cancellation of our physical events we have been working here at UKAuthority on a new virtual format - so that we can continue to share ideas, innovation and best practice in the use of digital and data in the public sector for the public good.

We are delighted, therefore, to announce that our first virtual conference, Powering Digital Public Services, will run in three 90-minute webinar sessions over three mornings in May - Wednesday 13th, Thursday 14th and Friday 15th May.

The event will retain its original focus on the underpinning infrastructure and technology for powering a digital public sector but will examine this through the lens of how we respond to national indeed, global, emergencies such as the Covid-19 pandemic.

At a time when the need for social distancing is disrupting established ways of delivering services and supporting the ill and the vulnerable, the public sector has to look closely at how its digital capabilities can provide solutions, and move quickly in their developments. The conference will provide experiences and ideas on how best to exploit the potential and make solutions replicable for future emergencies.

Delegates will be able to ask questions online and take part in the quick surveys to share their perspectives on the issues – all from the safety of their own working spaces.

Sponsored by Rackspace, Nutanix and EY, the event will comprise a 90-minute session running from 11.00-12.30 on each of the three days with free registration for all.
