Trafford Council has agreed on a five-year contract with Civica to use the company’s Cx Regulatory Services platform.
The company said the cloud software will be used to deal with high priority areas including local business licensing, environmental health and trading stands.
The move will also involve the deployment of a new customer portal and support increased automation of the relevant processes, along with the strengthening of reporting and analytics capabilities.
Cllr Rose Thompson, Trafford’s executive member for communities and safety, said: “At a time when our budget is being stretched so thinly, the new Civica platform provide excellent value for money. It will be better for residents and businesses as they can get their queries answered more efficiently while also improving our council-wide regulatory services.
“Joining up all our data in the cloud will help us see trends in our communities which allow us to plan and improve services for the future too.”
