The London Borough of Sutton the Sutton Information Hub as a new central information service for the local community.
The site is currently in public beta and will undergo a series of changes based on feedback from residents.
Sutton's announcement said it had built the site in collaboration with local residents and advocacy groups, all of whom influenced its accessibility, design and functionality.
Councillor Marian James, chair of Sutton’s People Committee, said: “The Sutton Information Hub brings together a host of local community information, all under one site. Whether you want to find a local group of like-minded people to connect with, events and activities or community groups, there are over 400 organisations just waiting for you to find them.”
The council said the hub will help residents and professionals find local services, support and activities that may be of interest or help.
It has already placed information on children leaving care on the site to help youths with applying for further education, access to gyms, healthcare, entitlements and managing their finances.
The Sutton Family Information Service will be the next major addition, providing details on breakfast clubs, day nurseries, disability support, special education needs, holiday schemes and after-school clubs.
