The Student Loans Company (SLC) has announced the appointment of Atos under its fourth and final strategic partnership contract.
The company will take responsibility for customer software delivery, taking in the development, maintenance and support of SLC customer and user facing systems.
It has earlier won the deal under the programme for customer enablement services, and is joined by Tata Consultancy Services for technology change and integration services and Capgemini for platform delivery and technology services.
Atos said that under the new contract, valued at £123 million, it will provide a broad range of outcome based services and capabilities including modern application development and maintenance (ADM) and support services, including on-premise and cloud based, bespoke, commercial-off-the-shelf and software-as- a-service products.
SLC’s Strategic Partnership Programme involves working with a small number of partners to modernise, deliver and support its technology estate as part of a technical transformation programme.
Continuity of service
Stephen Campbell, chief technology officer at SLC, said: “I am pleased to confirm that our Strategic Partner Procurement Programme has now concluded with the appointment of Atos as the final strategic partner for customer software delivery.
“This appointment will ensure the continuity of key IT service provision, enable the transition to new and emerging technologies, and support the delivery of key policy objectives going forward, such as the Government’s lifelong learning entitlement.”
Value of contract added on 14.11.22 on publication of contract notice
