The Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE) has announced a partnership with technology company Agilisys to support social care organisations in the adoption of generative AI solutions.

The charity said they will work together to share knowledge, skills, and capabilities.

An early initiative will involve SCIE hosting two workshops, one of which will cover the progress of the innovative social care projects funded by the Department for Health and Social Care’s Accelerating Reform Fun. This will cover learnings, barriers, how to foster innovation and practical examples of success.

The other will take an in-depth look at how co-production - involving people with lived experience of care – can inform services and how it supports sustainable, strengths-based approaches.

Kathryn Smith, chief executive of SCIE, said: “Thinking differently about social care delivery is necessary to navigating these ongoing challenges. That is why we are delighted to announce our exciting new partnership with GenAI provider Agilisys, so together we can put digital technology solutions safely into social care practice, achieving greater productivity and cost savings.”

SCIE has provided support to local projects funded by the ARF.
