Wales’ Centre for Digital Public Services (CDPS) has published the minimum viable product version of a new Service Manual for Wales.
It has been developed to provide support for efforts to meet the Digital Service Standard for Wales with guidance for the creation of public services.
Contents of the Service Manual are in two sections: researching users and testing a service; and using AI in the public sector. These come with supporting the delivery of bilingual services and addressing challenges that are specific to the Welsh context.
It has been developed in collaboration with the User Research in Wales community.
Product manager Phil Baird said: “The feedback we received, from discovery through beta, has been essential in refining the manual, making it relevant, useful and comprehensive for those trying to conduct user research with Welsh language users.”
He added that CDPS is looking for feedback through the form in the manual or by email.
