Scotland’s Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS) has agreed on new four-year contract with Storm ID for the company to be its digital applications development partner.

It is the latest stage in a partnership that began in 2017, and will involve the company working with the COPFS Information Services Division (ISD) in developing a number of applications and information solutions.

This will include further development of public facing systems such as the COPFS Witness Gateway and Defence Agents Service, redeveloping end-of-life applications, working on AI solutions and process automation, and providing support the integration of COPFS’s next generation case management system.

Ross McMillan, head of COPFS ISD, said: "This contract supports our commitment to delivering innovative and effective digital business solutions that enhance the way the organisation works and the essential public services we provide. We are pleased to continue our partnership with Storm ID and look forward to ongoing success."

Storm ID cited its accreditation as a Microsoft solutions partner across various domains as one of the factors in winning the contract.
