The Scottish Government has appointed Informed Solutions as digital delivery partner of the Digital Information Services Division (DSID) within the Directorate for Agriculture and the Rural Economy (ARE).
They have agreed on a four-year, £24 million contract under which the digital transformation company will provide strategic advice on service developments, strengthen the DSID’s in-house capability and complement its existing digital estate.
It said it plans to use its InformedTRANSFORM methodology on accelerating and de-risking ARE’s digital transformation and optimising service delivery, and emphasised its capabilities in delivering sustainable environmental solutions and in geospatial and data.
It will also provide skills and knowledge transfer through its InformedACADEMY learning and development framework.
Informed Solutions’ UK CEO Seth Finegan said: “Having already invested significantly in digital connectivity and infrastructure, the new plans and reforms ARE have proposed are extremely exciting and will be crucial in establishing Scotland as a leader in digital land information services, and as a benchmark for digital skills development, playing a pivotal supporting role towards the vision of the country becoming a leader in sustainable and regenerative farming”.
