The Scottish Government has made the contract award for a procurement framework for technology peripherals and infrastructure with a potential value of up to £50 million.
Computacenter has been appointed as the single supplier for the IT hardware catalogue lot, and shares a place on the IT infrastructure projects lot with Softcat, Insight Direct and XMA.
The hardware catalogue, valued at up to £30 million, covers a wide range of equipment, including optical readers, printers, scanners, electric sensors, audio-visual equipment, monitors and network components.
The infrastructure lot covers higher value or complex requirements such as hardware installations and integrations, with contractors offering a broad range of products and services across five product groups: general IT peripherals, audio-visual, desktop print, networking, and servers and storage equipment. It is valued at up to £20 million and provides users with the opportunity to run further competitions.
The contract notice does not state how long the framework will be in place, but is available for use throughout the Scottish public sector.
