Runnymede Borough Council is planning to replace its legacy financial planning system with OneCouncil Financials platform from TechnologyOne.
It will involve a shift from an on-premise to a software-as-a-service (SaaS) system, under a 15-year, £1.6 million contract that came into effect at the end of last year.
The company said that Runnymede is aiming to fast track the delivery of the platform with the SaaS+ implementation model. This will give staff real time data for budget management and administrative processes, and provide elected councillors with data.
Paul French, the council’s corporate head of finance, said: “Moving to a new financial management system will greatly help our continuous improvement journey. It supports our staff by providing a modern user-friendly platform which will support evidence based decision making for a smarter, more efficient approach to delivering services.”
