Registration open for UKAuthority Digital Health & Social Care 2019

27/09/18

Join us on Thursday 14 February 2019 in London to explore how govtech, digital and data can improve the patient journey between health and social care - and make a real difference to people's lives.

UKAuthority Digital Health and Social Care 2019, is both free for public sector attendees and brings you five hours of CPD learning. It offers a rare chance to discuss some of the most pressing questions facing the sector with peers from councils, NHS, housing and the 3rd sector. Key questions we will be exploring include:

  • How can we integrate health and social care services to improve hospital discharge rates?
  • Can technology keep older and vulnerable people, and those with chronic diseases, safe and well in their own homes?
  • Will real-time monitoring and data analytics allow carers to predict and prevent crises?
  • Is technology the answer to combating loneliness?

The event follows June's Digital Health and Social Care 2018, which saw the head of data sharing and privacy at NHS England, CIO of Norfolk County Council and CEO of charity Age UK provide insights and lessons learned.

A briefing report based on the event’s discussions, ‘Taking digital tech further into care – opportunities and issues in using technology to support people in their homes and communities’ outlines the main trends emerging from the use of technology in health and social care, for example:

  • emerging technology
  • assistive technology
  • data protection
  • managing risk

It also highlights lessons learned from some of the most innovative local authority projects across the country.

You can catch up with June's event via these speaker presentation videos on our event hub.

UKAuthority Digital Health and Social Care 2019 is designed for NHS and local authority leaders in social care, IT, digital, customer services, transformation and change as well as chief information officers, members and assistant and chief executives, care providers and care managers.
