Procurement for Housing (PfH) has awarded contracts for a framework for telecare and telehealth technologies with a potential value of up to £80 million.

The organisation, which is supported by the National Housing Federation, Chartered Institute for Housing and HouseMark, has published a contract award notice for its Technologies for Independent Living framework, which came into effect last month.

It breaks the arrangement down into six lots: for telecare equipment and services; telehealth solutions; monitoring services and solutions; telecare equipment and monitoring services; monitoring and data applications, software and cloud services; and integrated managed services.

Eight companies are named on the framework, with Tunstall Healthcare having the strongest presence being on all six lots. Appello Smart Living Solutions is also prominent with places on four lots.

The framework will initially be in place for three years with an option to extend for a further 12 months.

PfH’s introduction the framework says it will assure the delivery of future proofed solutions while it is in place.
