HM Passport Office taken up a contract valued at up to £48 million with software company Kainos to support digital applications and services.
They have agreed the deal, set to run for two years initially with options for three one-year extensions, under the Crown Commercial Service’s Technology Services 2 procurement framework as part of the agency’s Digital Future Services programme.
The contract notice says it will cover short, specific work packages for the support, maintenance and development of data applications and services.
This comes soon after another recent deal under the programme, this one with Atos, for the support of applications and services within the business intelligence, infrastructure and intelligence product family.
Last month Kainos landed a smaller deal with the Passport Office, valued at £4.5 million, to deliver a private beta version of the digital death registrations service.
