Education regulator Ofsted has signed a contract with Informed Solutions to provide digital service support for its customer service applications.
Under a two-year deal with options to extend, the company, which previously provided digital support for childminder registration services, will now do so for a handful of applications.
In addition to childminder registration it will run systems for finding schools inspections, parent and carer feedback about a school, contact and engagement – taking in requests for advice and feedback from Ofsted, reporting incidents, raising concerns and making complaints – and support services for providers judged to be outstanding or good.
The company will provide 24/7 service management under its InformedSERVICE framework and dynamic service monitoring, along with WebOps and DevOps support for Ofsted subject matter experts in making improvements.
It will also manage the regulator’s Amazon Web Services platforms, supporting changes to services and integration with systems, and ensuring that all Ofsted products operate effectively within the environment.
Brigid McBride, programme director for digital change at Ofsted, said: “Informed Solutions has demonstrated its expertise for digital service design, delivery, and service management through the successful implementation of Ofsted’s national childminder registration service.
“Education, children’s services, and skills are critically important issues as society continues to recover from Covid. The expert support for our world class digital infrastructure, alongside the management and continual improvement of our customer facing services, will play an increasingly important role in helping us support and improve services for young people and children over the coming years”.
