The Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual) has launched an online tool to enable vocational and technical students to discover how the Covid-19 pandemic has affected their exams and assessments.
With colleges and training organisations closed due to the lockdown, most exams have been cancelled and many students have been uncertain how it will affect the outlook for their qualifications over the summer.
In response, the exam regulator for England has been working with awarding organisations, along with Qualifications Wales and CCEA Regulation for Northern Ireland, to develop the qualification explainer tool.
It enables students to discover what decisions have been made about the situation for their qualification by entering the detail from a menu, along with those of the awarding organisation and qualification level if known.
The tool covers a wide range of qualification in professional areas, including technical professions, sport and arts.
Ofqual said that results for learners taking the relevant qualifications in Scotland will be generated in the same way as outlined in the tool.
