The Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC) has launched a new online system for the submission of forms.

It said this will make it easier to apply for registration and assist registered organisations in applying for a continuation, adding new advisers, changing levels and paying registration fees.

Among the functions of the new systems are: card payments; registration through mobile phones; the ability to save and return to applications; and enabling advisers to edit their details.

Immigration Services Commissioner John Tuckett said: “The introduction of our new online forms system will make the registration process more straightforward and user-friendly.

“It will save our registered advisers valuable time, allowing them to focus on their essential work of supporting advice seekers, providing them with high quality, reliable advice.”

The OISC is a government body set up to ensure that immigration advice is only provided by suitably qualified organisations and individuals. It does this by licensing and regulating people who want to provide immigration advice to the general public.

It also investigates and, where appropriate, prosecutes people provide advice illegally.
