Communications regulator Ofcom has agreed on a contract worth up to £44 million with IT solutions provider Coforge for an ICT support service.
Under the four-year deal – which has an option for a two-year extension – the company will provide a range of services.
The deal follows the company’s previous success with Ofcom in 2016 to become strategic partner for infrastructure and application systems.
These include standard operational services aimed at providing a high level of system availability and the stability for an evolution of the ICT environment, and operational services delivery, with a high focus on cyber security. The contract notice says this will include an aggressive plan for infrastructure, systems and patching.
Among the other elements of operational services delivery is the management of a number of specialist Spectrum management and licensing applications that require a high level of local knowledge. This is accompanied by a suite of Microsoft applications, Salesforce, ServiceNow and Workday.
The contract also takes in the delivery of a governance and relationship model, project delivery methodologies, transition services, and a service for continuous change, DevOps and project delivery. The latter includes the provision of a resource pool to scope and deliver projects and change across platforms, quality assurance and testing, and an integrated service introduction process.
