Norfolk County Council has moved towards a more unified and low code approach in the delivery of online services for its local community.

It has agreed a five-year, £1.47 million contract with Goss to use its software-as-a-service Digital Platform, which will replace a collection of customer experience technologies in areas such as customer relationship management, content management and forms software.

The contract was awarded in April following a procurement process that went back to the summer of 2021.

Goss said the platform will enable the council to integrate essential digital and online capabilities into a single low code solution. This will include the utilisation of the content management, case management, forms and business process capabilities in the Goss platform.

Transforming customer offer

Norfolk’s head of digital customer experience, Michelle Carter, said: "The Goss Digital Platform has the potential to transform our customer offer, and the customer led, collaborative approach demonstrated by their people aligns really well with our own ethos and ways of working. We're delighted to be working with Goss and excited about what we can achieve together and as part of the Goss community."

Geoff Connell, the council’s chief digital officer, commented: “I would say that the Goss platform will enable us to improve our customer experience, increase our agility when implementing digital changes and also save money as we move from a complex set of customer services technologies to an integrated solution.”
