NHSX is to explore how to build trust and confidence in technology enabled remote monitoring through a new project with the Health Foundation’s Q Lab UK research community.
Q Lab UK said the project, which will be launched in September, will explore how developing trust with both staff and patients could allow remote monitoring to be scaled across the health and care system.
It is looking for expressions of interest from test teams that run an existing service or pathway that does or could use technology enabled remote monitoring, would be able to undertake testing and could attend workshops between November 2021 and May 2022. Successful teams will receive funding and support. It is also looking for individual contributors who have experience of or expertise in technology-enabled remote care.
Previous Q Lab UK projects include making peer support more widely available and supporting people living with both mental health problems and persistent pain, the latter with mental health charity Mind.
