NHS Property Services (NHSPS) has said it now has over 1,100 sites available through its NHS Open Spaces booking platform, following the recent addition of 40 more.
It said the platform, launched in July of last year, is increasing the choice of clinical and non-clinical spaces available for hire to health and wellbeing providers, and that it hopes to further increase the number of its users beyond the existing 2,900.
Christopher King, principal strategic asset manager at NHSPS, said: “I am delighted to be able to announce yet another expansion of NHS Open Space this year.
“We have seen more than 976,000 hours of care provided to patients across England with this scheme, showing just how vital a range of services are to local communities. From counselling and physiotherapy to vaccine administration, we hope to enable excellent patient care and deliver on the NHS Long Term Plan through our spaces.”
NHSPS is working on the programme with Kajima Partnerships.
