NHS England has begun the procurement for a new version of the Health Systems Support Framework (HSSF).
It has placed a value of up to £700 million on the framework over its four-year liftetime.
The HSSF provides health and social care suppliers with a quick procurement channel for support from suppliers in areas including advanced analytics, population health management, digital and service transformation.
As outlined in the procurement notice, the main framework covers a number of service categories including; strategy and implementation support, along with infrastructure for local health and care records; informatics, analytics and digital tools for population, business and clinical intelligence, along with research tools; applications to support direct patient care; surveys; transformation and change support; patient empowerment and activation; and system optimisation.
An additional lot provides for an ‘innovation greenhouse’ as a route for suppliers of innovative solutions to sell the health and care sector.
The notice says that suppliers will not be allowed places on both lots.
A further procurement is expected to be launched next year to cover other services within the scope of the HSSF.
