Digital skills boost for youth charity
Liverpool charity Youth Federation will receive £750,000 to provide coding and digital skills to increase employability from the government and Big Lottery Fund's Youth Investment Fund. The fund offers £40 million over the next three years to 86 youth organisations across the country to boost skills and life chances of young people living in disadvantaged areas.

Report finds pagers prevalent in NHS despite inefficiencies
A free report published this week finds the use of pagers by healthcare professionals in the NHS is still prevalent, despite the availability of more efficient communication methods. “Considering the drawbacks of pager based processes - including the lack of two way communication and auditing capabilities - it is surprising that legacy equipment is relied upon in emergency situations so heavily,” finds the report. It says that Acute Care settings account for 93.29% of all pagers in use in the NHS. The report was published by enterprise mobile technology company CommonTime. Read it here.
