Oxfordshire to use Esri platform for GIS

Oxfordshire County Council has awarded a contract for a corporate geographical information system infrastructure to Esri, with a plan to use the company’s ArcGIS platform in replacing a number of legacy GIS applications.

It is aiming to build new apps and services on a new Oxfordshire Digital platform that will include the software. This reflects a move to build up the number of digital tools it uses and place location at the centre of its customer engagement strategy.

 

Bracknell Forest signs Invotra

Bracknell Forest Council has appointed intranet software provider Invotra to transform its intranet. It plans to create a range of interactive features, including a message wall to encourage collaboration, groups where staff can discuss issues, and a content management system. This will all be run under a single sign-on.

The move marks the company’s first business in local government, building on its strong presence in central government. Working with Bracknell Forest, it plans to roll out the GOV.invotra platform on which its government clients can share best practice and collaborate.

 

HSENI awards case management contract

The Health and Safety Executive for Northern Ireland has awarded Belfast company Equiniti ICS the contract for the replacement of its case management system. In a deal worth just over £1 million, the company will provide a functional system with workflow and mobile integration, Microsoft Office applications, external interfaces and a number of other features.

 

Improvement Service plans myaccount upgrade

Scotland’s Improvement Service has begun a procurement process to upgrade its myaccount service, the secure sign-in for online public services in the country.

It has indicated that it is looking for a partner to develop the service over the next three to five years, aiming to remove any barriers to adoption and increase its usage. The service currently has more than 350,000 users in Scotland.
