Hounslow switches to cloud case management
The London Borough of Hounslow has begun its implementation of digital customer service strategy using the cloud based, real time Jadu CXM case management system. The council has engaged creative agency Spacecraft Digital to redesign its website, and the Jadu system will provide service tracking, real time conversation and service automation tools to make the system more efficient for customers.
Councillor Ed Mayne, cabinet member for corporate performance and customer care at Hounslow, said: “We needed something scalable and have made the change to something suitable that is deeply embedded in our website and within our customer service contact centre.”
The council is investing about £225,000 in technology and services from Jadu to be able to switch off redundant legacy systems and obtain savings.
BCS joins with CCIO and CIO networks for NHS digital leaders
BCS Health & Care, part of the BCS, has formed a partnership with the Chief Clinical Information Officers (CCIO) Network and the Health Chief Information Officers (CIO) Network to support the professional development of NHS digital leaders.
They said they will focus on the case for properly resourced and empowered CCIOs and CIOs in the NHS, and aim to improve the usability of clinical systems. This could include collecting and publishing software usability ratings.
Andy Kinnear (pictured), chair of BCS Health, commented: “The ambitions espoused by BCS’s campaign to ‘Make IT Good for Society’, when applied to the health and care sector, squarely align with those of the CCIO and CIO networks. I am really excited by the potential of our partnership and the opportunity to leverage ideas, energy and expertise from both sides.”
