The new version of the CiSP platform for sharing intelligence on cyber threats is due to come online in spring of next year, the National Cyber Security (NCSC) has said.
It has given the indication following a hiatus in the project that was first announced in April of last year.
Martin R, digital delivery manager for CiSP at NCSC, said the project team is working towards the date, which will be the 10-year anniversary of the initial launch.
The redevelopment, which will be accompanied some changes in the branding, reflects the change in the cyber security landscape over recent years.
A number of evidence based user requirements have been set out and elements of the new version will reflect the NCSC’s move to a Microsoft environment.

“One of the biggest changes to CISP will be the way we access the platform, as we're moving to a Microsoft 365 environment,” Martin R said. “This will allow our CISP communities to access an easy-to-use application with familiar functions.
“It also provides the NCSC with a platform that can better integrate with the existing Active Cyber Defence suite of tools.
“We know from our community consultations that some organisations may face challenges accessing a Microsoft 365 environment, but we believe we've mitigated potential issues by providing alternative access routes.
