Public sector IT association Socitm has announced two senior appointments, with Nadira Hussain becoming chief executive office and David Ogden director of engagement.
Hussain comes into the role from her previous position as the organisations director leadership development and research, and takes over from David Bryant, who will remain as commercial and finance director.
In her three years with Socitm she has developed its Leadership Academy, delivering new learning and development opportunities. She is also a previous president of the organisation.
She commented: “I am both humbled and delighted to be given the opportunity to take Socitm forward into an organisation that is even more supportive of the aims and aspirations of its members and better represents the communities we serve.
“I am optimistic that we will continue to deliver benefits in what will without doubt, be challenging but exciting times for our sector.”
Promoting reputation
Ogden is stepping up from the role of head of communications and market, which he took on last year. In the new position he will focus on promoting Socitm’s reputation in the public sector and engaging with stakeholders.
He said: “Socitm offers so much value to its members and can do so much more within our sector. We are in tough times right now and it won’t be getting any easier anytime soon, so our determination to support the amazing work going on in the public sector right now is needed more than ever.”
