The Ministry of Defence (MoD) is setting up a specialist team to manage its cyber virtual learning environment (C-LVE).
It has published a market notice for private sector support in the project over the next two years, indicating it has a budget of up to £700,000.
The ministry has already developed a C-LVE for its Defence Cyber Operations (DCO) staff, using the Moodle, Mahara, Alfresco and Learning Locker technology and management processes that are applied in the Defence Learning Environment.
The initial priority will be to add categories, roles and existing materials to the C-VLE portal, then shift to ongoing management of content and quality of the training along with developing metrics and reporting.
New interfaces will be added as the portal develops.
The MoD anticipates that most of the users will be in military roles with responsibility for a variety of cyber security tasks.
