The Ministry of Defence (MoD) is to switch to a new collaboration platform under a deal with Wazoku.
It will use the company’s Idea Spotlight under a two-year contract valued at £200,000 per annum and extending to all of the military services and the Defence Infrastructure Organisation.
“We are looking forward to partnering with Wazoku to build on our experience of delivering and managing an innovative idea management programme,” said Stuart Laws of Defence Innovation – Ideas.
“MoD is proud of the commitment and dedication demonstrated by our people, and through Wazoku’s idea management solution we will ensure that the MOD continues to recognise and reward that dedication.”
The ministry has been using the GEMS Scheme platform since 2012, with more than 5,000 ideas submitted and 466 taken forward. It is aiming to increase these numbers with the new platform.
Idea Spotlight can be opened up for specific communities for a specific time to invite ideas and discussions around an issue.
Among the platform’s features is a dynamic archive that allows staff to be notified about previously submitted ideas so they can incorporate them into new proposals where applicable.
