Staff at the Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust have begun to use the MyStaff app document management system to access clinical documents.

The trust has worked with digital solutions company Diligram on the development and testing of the app over the past two years and is now rolling out to all of its departments.

MyStaff is a closed loop solution with the capacity to manage a document from its creation through to local approval, ratification and distribution as a mobile app or web interface. It is underpinned by AI and can provide full governance reporting on staff compliance with policies and procedures.

Leslie Golding, UK CEO for MyStaff, said: “We have analysed what factors are involved in the end-to-end process from creation of a document through to delivery to users and the importance of compliance to help to ensure best practice and ultimately ensure that the NHS and its patients have the best possible experience.”

Positive feedback

Mid and South Essex’s chief strategy and improvement officer, Charlotte Williams, said the app has attracted positive feedback from staff, and been especially useful for new, temporary, agency, locum and bank staff, as well as students, enabling them to understand the latest guidance and best practice.

She added: “We have been so impressed with MyStaff app that we have extended the roll out from all of our trust maternity units to a trust-wide implementation of the app for all staff.

“We are actively supporting Diligram to further develop the product because we truly believe that this will benefit other NHS trusts across the UK.”
