Manchester Metropolitan University has awarded Deloitte a £7.9m contract to implement its new set of Oracle finance, procurement, HR and payroll services.

The three-year contract continues the university’s investment in its move to Oracle, which began with last August’s announcement of a five-year, £5.8 million, switch to the platform. As that is set to run until 2027, it looks like the university is doubling down on its commitment to both that supplier and cloud-based operations.

The 2022 contract was framed at the time as the first phase of the university’s programme to overhaul management systems and processes.

The project is also trying to boost self-service, deliver a single view of operations, encourage use of a common data model to underpin decision making, and improve the University’s analytics and reporting capabilities.
