Manchester Metropolitan University has agreed on a five-year, £5.8 million contract to use a cloud based Oracle system for its HR and finance operations.

The contract notice says this is the first phase of the university’s programme to overhaul the relevant management systems and processes.

The system is intended to meet a number of demands, including support for an increase in self-service, provision of single view of operations, use of a common data model to underpin decision making, and analytics and reporting.

More tenders are to follow, notably for an implementation partner to support the university in putting the programme into practice.
