The Local Pensions Partnership Administration (LPPA) has signed Civica on a five-year, £3.6 million deal to build a new digital platform and increase automation in the organisation.
LPPA, which provides pensions administration services to 17 local authority and blue light organisations, is to use the company’s cloud based Universal Pensions Management (UPM) software.
Civica said this will support the introduction of automation and self-service capabilities and bring five existing systems into one integrated workflow platform.
Joanne Darbyshire, managing director of LPPA, commented: “Demands placed on pensions schemes continue to grow, with an increasing focus on governance, risk management and efficiency. We’re pleased to be working with Civica as a long term innovation partner to improve services for all our clients, employers and members.
“Civica’s scale and experience means we can work together in the future on exciting technologies such as biometrics to build an even stronger digital platform for our pensions administration service in the future.”
