Head of the Local Digital Collaboration, Linda O’Halloran, says that the Local Digital Fund deliberately demands collaborative applications from local authorities in bid to deliver genuinely reusable solutions. The application process, she explains, is designed to help councils find others looking at the same problems with whom they can work while submitting their bids. Those that will be successful will be the projects that can evidence both the common problem and demand for a common solution, along with quantifying the potential to benefit other authorities from re-use.
