Tom Smith, chief data officer at the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, gives an overview of the work of the new spatial data unit and how it is  supporting the government's levelling up agenda

Speaking on day one of UKAuthority AI and Data4Good 2022, he outlined how it is transforming the way central government gathers, stores and manipulates subnational data to underpin transparent and open policy making, and decision-making.
