Kent County Council has set up a new version of its software procurement framework for the public sector, indicating it could be worth up to £800 million for the 24 companies involved.
It has published a contract award notice for the agreement, which will replace the existing deal – dating back to 2020 – at the end of this month and run until March 2028.
It covers a full range of software, including open source, and essential hardware and associated services, applying to on-promise, cloud based and hybrid solutions.
Among the applications cited in the notice are accounting software, HR and payroll system, data analysis and business intelligence tools, Microsoft products and security software.
The number of companies on the framework has been greatly expanded from the nine on the old agreement.
Those with places on the contract are Insight Direct, CDW, Phoenix Software, Boxxe, CCS Media, IDNS, Bytes Software, VE3 global, Softcat, Academia, Ultima Business Solutions, SoftwareONE, Bromcom Computers, Kingsfield Computer Products, Crayon, IRIS Software, Trustmarque Solutions, Verylocals, Waymark, Hitachi Solutions Europe, Education Software Solutions, Cantium Business Solutions, Specialist Computer Centres and StyleTech Solutions.
