Hitachi Solutions and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea have developed a local authority Covid-19 Vulnerability Hub app to support vulnerable people through the coronavirus crisis.
The company has made its support for the app free of charge and said, following the development in a matter of days last week, has had input from the London Office of Technology and Innovation and is already being used by a handful of London boroughs including Hammersmith and Fulham, Lewisham and Southwark.
The Vulnerability Hub stores details on individuals for a fast assessment of their needs and how they can be supported, tracks communications with them and provides structured reporting and dashboards. Data can be uploaded through data flows or Excel spreadsheets.
The app sits on the Azure cloud and requires a licence for Microsoft Power Apps – offered on a free pilot basis for six months – but works with most browsers and operating systems and without a custom code to tie it to Hitachi.
The estimated deployment time is two days and it can be changed and extended by councils as they wish.
