UKAuthority is taking a new step for its events from next week by offering public sector officials the opportunity to take part as virtual delegates in its Powering Digital Public Services conference.
We’re giving people the chance to allay any fears related to the spread of coronavirus by logging in to watch all of the presentations and discussions live, with the ability to submit questions and make observations in response to speaker presentations.
The event, taking place at the Inmarsat Conference Centre in London on Friday 20 March, will be focused on issues around the infrastructure needed to power the next generation of digital services, along with the sourcing strategies, finding the right balance between cloud and in-house facilities, and harnessing new technologies and remote working.
Speakers include Eddie Copeland, director of the London Office of Technology and Innovation, former Socitm president and chief digital officer for Norfolk County Council Geoff Connell, Simon Clifford, director of digital and data at the Police ICT Company.
Speakers and discussion will address how the public sector can harness technology - remote working, virtual meetings - to ensure the delivery of public services during these uncertain times.
Sponsored by Rackspace, Nutanix and EY, the event is free to public sector delegates to take part, and provides the benefit of five hours CPD accreditation, whether attending in person or online.
