Jisc has signed a three-year deal with Ceridian UK for the use of its HR, payroll and talent management system.
The contract is due to come into effect in July and has been valued at £477,000, although it includes the options for a series of extensions that could take it up to a maximum of 10 years.
The company produces the cloud based Dayforce software that combines HR, payroll and time attendance, in line with procurement notice from the membership organisation for digital in higher education and research. This specified a range of functions, including core HR, employee self-service, absence management and reporting.
Its history has laid the ground for various challenges for the HR system provider, as many of its approximately 750 employees have been TUPE’d from other organisations under legacy contracts that have differing terms and conditions.
They are also being paid through multiple payrolls that run as separated legal entities, which have to be managed by the system. It will also integrate with the organisation’s Office 365 and Dynamics 365 systems.
