Academia’s digital services provider puts out call for participants to help test beta version of mechanism
Jisc has announced plans for a pilot of a new discovery tool for assessing the digital capabilities of organisations in the higher and further education sectors.
It said the tool has now gone into beta and is looking for universities to take part in the pilot to be run between December 2017 and May 2018.
This follows an initial pilot and the development of an enhanced question set in a new interactive delivery system.
The organisation, which provides shared digital infrastructure and services to the higher education and research sectors, said the tool can support staff members and managers by helping them to assess their current digital capability and work on improvements using a customised playlist of resources.
It includes specific question sets for teaching staff in higher and further education and for students, and can be used for supporting individuals or organisational and strategic changes.
Jisc has encouraged relevant organisations to sign up for the pilot.
